Casual Music for piano & cello (2011)

The piece belongs to the genre of mobiles; the individual parts each contain a number of patterns that can be performed in any order and repeated as often as desired; the duration is flexible, the tempo is free. The piano part is written in conventional notation, the cello part in a self-developed, flexible notation: within the individual patterns the intervals are fixed, while the reference tone is free in each case. The sound is always shaped out of the movement: the performers carry out plain manual activities, whereby the sounds appear as mere by-products.
Premiered 2012 at Amann Studios Wien, by Roland Schueler (cello) and Nikolaus Gerszewski (piano).

My sheet music is available through Frog Peak Music.
